It’s becoming asinine at this point, like whether or not you believe Miyuki is unforgivable or whatever, there becomes a point where it becomes misery porn, like this characters story is going nowhere, the court stuff was interesting, but then we go back to the status quo of Miyuki being miserable. I’d even say she is in a lower spot than Aono ever was because she legtimately has no one, her own mom won’t even talk to her and her own suicide attempt was brushed off as selfishness, and maybe there is some truth there BUT SHE IS A HIGH SCHOOLER!!!!!!!! I really thought this story was interesting because the dynamic of the adults stepping up and actually guiding Aono through a horrible and traumatic event was really positive, but to see NO amount of guidance for Miyuki at this point just feels like a double standard. It seemed like the teacher was trying to fulfill some sort of positive influence over her, only to basically tell her that she should keep feeling horrible and that she can’t repent. Like at this point you really could just write “point and laugh at Miyuki because she ruined own life” for every Miyuki POV chapter and the story would not functionally change in any meaningful way.
I get it’s a short story, but I am very curious for when she finally moves on. To me the author is taking an interesting route with Miyuki as Aono may never forgive her, as many victims never actually forgive their betrayers. Hope it doesn’t end up as “she moved away” sort of send off, I wanna see how she grows from the hell her choices led her to.
please just please make the moment eiji forgive her. She suffered enough
No forgiveness, just stop making her chapters at this point or give a 10year or some long timeskip and show her living her life normally after moving on, still hurt but atleast trying to live
Well hope so…..
