  1. BNGenso says:

    I agreed with people here.
If even the kind teacher uncharacteristically end up telling Miyuki that she can’t be redeemed, it’s just telling the author want the cheater to suffer as much as possible.
Miyuki got tricked and did something terrible, now she lost everything. That’s enough. She should find some closure instead of her and other people constantly poking at her mistakes and tell her she should never be happy.

    1. Jr says:

It’s not that sensei is telling her she cannot be redeemed, what it comes off is that he is telling Miyuki’s desire to apologize isn’t atonement but a desire to make herself feel better at the benefit of herself and not Aono who she nearly destroyed. To carry the sins of one’s actions is in of itself atonement, yes she lost everything due to her mistakes but she must face them and find her own footing. Granted the actions of the students are extreme, but it could be seen that it would take place in reality as those who bully her are opportunistic and will hop on the next hate wagon as they are the same who never asked for Aono’s side. It’s unjust yes, but she would have to make do with a life knowing what she had done with little to no chance that Aono will ever speak to her or even forgive her.

  2. Kyo says:

    NO I CAUGHT UP

  3. Black says:

    Cheating is not a mistake it’s a choice 🤷

  4. Black says:

    Cheating is not a mistake it’s a choice 🤷

  5. Tu says:

For the past few chapters the more I read the more I feel like the author got cheated and this is what he wish others to say to his cheater. As much as I hate Miyuki what the teacher said to her feel really weird, same for Ai, the lawer… they are like the manifestations of author’s idealism than actual character everytime they interact with Miyuki

  6. Jarschee says:

Can you imagine IF after this chapter or future chapter that Miyuki save Eiji from a car and die in accident IF this happen in future chapter what is your reaction? To me, I feel little hurt to see this girl who seeking forgiveness even though a woman as foolish as Miyuki was the perpetrator, Miyuki was still Tachibana’s victim.

    1. kavin says:

dude even thought she is tachibana victim , dont she have self realisation if she loves eiji she shouldnt have cheated with kondo or she should have broke up with eiji when she started relationship with kondo we shouldnt make her good person either

  7. Pique says:

I think it’s good that the author isn’t rushing Miyuki’s development
There are just some stories which tend to leave a feeling that there could’ve been more .and in Miyuki’s case, what she did would take anybody with a guilty conscience a long time to forgive themselves
She still has to understand that the pain she’s feeling now is nothing compared to what Eiji went through and that the least she could do to atone for her sins is to carry the weight of her actions for rest of her life after nearly destroying the life of someone she claimed to have loved more than anyone.
I can understand why some people feel like the author is dragging out Miyuki’s suffering but come on, deceived or not, you don’t betray someone who’s been there for you through thick and thin by defaming them so harshly and just get off with an “I’m sorry.”
What she did was pure evil and she needs to know that.

    1. LKLY_BRSRK says:

Theres a difference between not rushing something and dragging it out, something I feel theyve been doing with her guilt and self loathing. Shes been this way pretty much since her and Eiji broke up and frankly Im bored out of my skull reading about it, as well as the rest of the story. Not saying their shouldnt be repercussions for her actions but can we please get to the civil trial already and move to either the ending or another plotline? Not to mention her being in this state isnt doing her or Eiji any favors and I feel unless something changes shes just gonna either a) attempt suicide again or b) something else just as drastic and unhealthy. Seriously why hasnt anybody gotten her a therapist especially after her public suicide attempt?

I dont wanna say Im gonna drop the story but I think Im just gonna leave it be for a few months. Hopefully the story will have progressed enough to keep me engaged.

    2. Rogue says:

THANK YOU! Someone actually said it!

  8. ahmed says:

i think that miyuki should tell eiji how she feels and they become best friends again, why? because she didnt have any idea who kondo and tachibana really were and was decieved with the rest of them

    1. Gege says:

Tf are you talkin about? you’re being sarcastic right? not funny

    2. Repent 4 Life says:

Ahmed, if your friend tells you to shoot Muhammed, will you do it because you don’t know him? Even if they are begging for it? Of course not. Cheating is always a choice, no matter how someone approaches you, no matter if they have elite status and looks and are experienced and tell you sweet nothings.

Miyukis betrayal began when she herself wanted to go for coffee with Kondo without telling Eiji. Do I think Miyuki deserves to still live her life? Yes! Do I think she has any business with Eiji again? Fuck no!

      1. ujjwal says:

        😂😂

      2. ahmed says:

i know that but she wants to atone and move on, she might go insane and do something reckless like kill mc and herself so the auther should give her one last chance at life and the other students and watch your launguage dude

      3. ahmed says:

i know that but she wants to atone and move on, she might go insane and do something reckless like kill mc and herself so the auther should give her one last chance at life and the other students and watch your launguage dude

      4. ahmed says:

i know that but she wants to atone and move on, she might go insane and do something reckless like kill mc and herself so the auther should give her one last chance at life and the other students and watch your launguage dude please

        1. flicko says:

forgiving is fine, but them being best friends again? why would some sane person do that, not even a saint could do that

  9. Euiaks says:

Yeah im dropping ts too ngl. Fucking ass. Not even Tachibana and Kondo got it as bad as Miyuki rn

  10. Repent 4 Life says:

Ok, time to drop this. The author will just milk the power fantasy that this is currently without moving anywhere. Miyuki can start working at convinience store across the country and die alone at 50 because she never moved on and her only escape was alcohol.

Eiji and Ai got engaged as soon as they graduated high school, during university they had fun and hanged out with their friends and after graduating Eiji became full blown author and maybe Ai becomes a home mom? All is good and they got married, pregnant and Ai’s dad managed to meet his grandchild before dying. They lived happily ever after.

I would have liked Miyuki to find a way to move forward. Not that I could ever forgive her for not defending Eiji on the 1st day of school or not immediately confessing to teacher and cops. But at least it would have been nice to see her repent somehow, maybe volunteer work for abuse victims etc.

    Good bye Jinsei Gyakuten o7

    1. Redemption says:

This is such a valid take. It might be controversial but for the past 50 chapters I’ve been reading with the main hope that Miyuki accepts her actions and/or finds something to do that motivates her out of her slump of guilt.

I don’t think eternal suffering is good; I think the strongest show of character comes when a character can overcome an undeniably horrendous path, and I feel like Miyuki’s character is wasted/dragged-out by not initiating this type of arc. This doesn’t even mean she ever has to see any of the rest of the cast again, in fact it would be better as a solo arc showing that she can move past the people she wronged.
