Why are they hiring these shitty ass lawyers man? Even a public defender would put up more of a fight than this and not scold his OWN client. This guy shouldn’t have a job

    1. Ayo_K says:

Every adult has been like that, I can only assume the author had friends or has been through something where every adult pretended like they didn’t see anything and wrote this like they wished the adults would have responded then.

  3. Trevoric says:

Even after all the consequences, this bastard still shows no remorse, no guilt

Yeah, rot in prison you little shit

  4. Sam says:

This baffles me. Even from a gold-digger perspective, it doesn’t even make fiscal sense for Miyuki to cheat on Eiji. Yeah, you have Kondo; an up-and-coming soccer player with some prospects. But when you have hundreds of other guys who want to be a soccer phenom just as much as you, you’re just a face in a crowd. And if you get injured (and soccer injuries can be nasty), it’s Game Over. Sure, his dad was a politician, so he would have a future in politics, but that would only work if his dad was actually CLEAN and/or didn’t get caught. Eiji has already been recognized country-wide for earlier work as a writer (Miyuki was dating him when he got that recognition) and has been featured in the news for heroism. Any other work he makes in the near future WILL be a hit–even any ‘mid’ works he writes. And royalties are a thing, so the biggest injuries he would get would be writer’s block or carpal tunnel(lol). Way to fumble the bag, Miyuki!

    1. Euiaks says:

Because Miyuki herself didn’t know what she wanted. She’s just extremely conflicted but honestly that doesn’t make her immune of consequences. At least she’s the only one who’s shown genuine regret and will to improve unlike Kondo and Tachibana. I really hope there’s a sequel one day with Miyuki trying to restart from zero(same for Eri)

      1. Sam says:

Wasn’t Miyuki’s father also a cheater(been awhile and I don’t feel like rifling thru the chapters)? If so, she didn’t learn a damn thing from it, and someone almost died as a result (because Eiji was contemplating suicide). I can see why most parents don’t want their teens to start dating too early. They’re kids doing adult things with very little understanding that can shatter the lives of others. And while Tachibana and Kondo are different breeds of psycho, Miyuki was NOT built for this.

        1. zipov says:

          Fatherless behavior.
Unfortunately, people, especially young stupid people, will look for a replacement with all the flaws of the original, rather than learn on the mistakes.
This is why I keep feeling bad for her, she was dealt a bad hand and just as everything was falling in place, a cruel plot and inability to make the right choice destroyed everything.
And it wasnt just bad luck, she passively and actively contributed to it, and being a dumb 16yo girl with no dependable father figure to beat some sense in that hormone addled brain… Its not a black and white thing. She is a complicated character.

This is the most tragic character in the novel. The best and most interesting one, I find.
You can see the difference between her and the two other shitbags, right?
She deserves punishment, but in no way as severe as they do.
Shes not an evil person but she has done evil things and it demolished her very being.

          1. Nickadimus316 says:

Well said, I truly think Miyuki was the biggest victim in this story.

The MC had a week of heart break and a day and a half of bullying, then won life’s lottery.

      2. Sam says:

Then Miyuki shouldn’t be dating at all. I get why most parents don’t want their teens to date too early. They’re kids doing adult things with very little or any thought to what happens if or when their actions come to light. Or how it will affect the lives of others. Hell, even most adults don’t get it right… I suppose it’s best to make your mistakes as a kid because mistakes as an adult is WAY less forgiving.

      3. Green grape says:

I always thought this just a matter of writers choice because we clearly see how the author emphasizes her value for eiji in order to amplify her suffering. Though I do think that’s how cheaters work, the author does it in way where he gives greater substance to those memories in order to make everything more dramatic, while reducing his influence before the cheating in order to make this story compelling. Well in my opinion, psychologically it makes sense for a character with her traits to cheat but realistically given her ties to eiji there would be a greater restraint for her despite myuki’s ignorance then again this story is slop so yeah she really did screw up.

        1. zipov says:

A vulnerable teen was tricked, coerced and gaslit into throwing her life and future away and even though she already was punished severely people cheer in sadistic glee just wanting more and more bad things to happen to her.

Maybe some people in the comment section are a bit like the two dipshit villains after all.

          1. Green grape says:

Most of them who over do it are just major self insert so I don’t really take them seriously

      4. Nickadimus316 says:

I agree, and I think Miyuki ultimately was the biggest victim in this story. She was tricked/sweet talked into cheating, she wanted to do the right thing on multiple occasions but was abused by the bully into not doing the right thing. Etc etc.

I really hope the author starts to give her an opportunity to grow and rebuild her life.

    2. Artin says:

You are overestimating Miyuki, she is a 16 years old who grew up without a father and her mother was working most of the day true her mother left her in the hands of Enji family while she was work but they still weren’t her parents, also i think its safe to assume neither Miyuki and Enji had much feeling for each other considering 1 year after the relationship started Enji didnt solidify their relationship at all i mean they were barely more than childhood friends they didn’t kiss they barely held hands and some minor couple stuff … so when kondo came and shown her more attention in a week than Enji showen for a year she easily got manipulated…and cheated… also Miyuki is a attention seeker , naive and selfish always thinking about herself because of bad parenting so actually it completely makes sense honestly in this story she is just a weak willed person who circumstances got stacked against her. In the real world she wouldnt get nearly this much back slash from her choices.

      1. Nickadimus316 says:

        Well said

      2. Sam says:

No backlash? This incident helped in ending a politician’s career. If not for Eiji’s late father having some influence with people in the right places, Eiji would be COOKED(even with the video evidence of the alleged assault)! Dude def would’ve gotten expelled and no other kid would get nearly as much punishment as they are now. And there def would be at least one suicide in there somewhere (nothing causes more backlash than a death or two).

        1. Artin says:

Ok and? It wasnt Miyuki who spread the rumors or accusations after she was caught cheating…she only wanted to keep it quiet and stay away from enji it was never her choice that kondo spread rumors and accusations after that she just kept on emotionally manipulated into doing and saying what ever kondo and tachibana wanted while feeling guilty and regret everyday…

          1. Op says:

Just rot in hell for all I care. She has no regrets of her wrong doings what a selfish bitch she is.

  5. KyaTsun says:

Couple of years in prison, she’s not gonna be able to get a proper job once she comes out. Probably becomes a janitor.

  6. Griffin says:

Why did she hook up eri and kondo anyway?

  7. Euiaks says:

Unlike Miyuki she pmo so much. Actual no redeeming qualities holy shit Tachibana feels like a saturday morning cartoon villain💔

    1. LKLY_BRSRK says:

Fr. Say what you want about Miyuki but at least she acknowledges her mistakes and isnt making excuses for them, at least not anymore. As for Tachibana, I wouldnt be surprised if the first thing she does when she gets out of jail is to plot revenge against Eiji. Who knows maybe shell come out of jail a better person but after this I wouldnt hold my breath.

      1. Euiaks says:

Prison would be the ultimate reality check for her. Honestly it will probably be good so Tachibana could actually develop as a person.
