Personally, I was hoping that Miyuki would have some sort of redemption arc where she cooperates with the authorities and confesses the truth about Kondo. This chapter could very well be the start of that. Even if she still has to suffer the consequences of her actions as far as her academic career and personal relationships go–such as potentially being expelled from school like her best friend was, never being able to get back together with Aono again, and being hated by almost everyone around her–I can only hope that her full cooperation with the authorities to bring down Kondo (and quite possibly Tachibana) and showing genuine remorse for her own actions will at the very least get her a lighter sentence as far as the law is concerned, as Japanese law does apparently allow for that.
Only then can she build herself back up and barely avoid the same fate that Eri Ikenobu (Endo’s ex-girlfriend, who cheated on him with Kondo) suffers. As a reminder, Eri has no one except for Kondo left in her life; her family and friends despise her, seeing her as nothing more than a cheater. She barely ekes out a meager living, but in terms of personal relationships, she only has Kondo to rely on for any kind of support, emotional or otherwise. As she told Miyuki in an earlier chapter, she is basically Miyuki a few years down the road. But if Miyuki cooperates with the authorities and helps them bring Kondo down, Miyuki might be able to avoid the fate that lays in store for her and become a better person, even if she has to build new relationships with different people and not the people who were once part of her life.
Of course, it will be interesting to see Kondo’s reaction to Miyuki telling the truth. Will he angrily lash out in court? Will he finally break down and become an emotional wreck? What will his punishment be? The next few chapters cannot come soon enough!

Miyuki gonna have some redemption, not all is lost for her but hope she can learn from her mistakes and move on. Miyuki deserves what she got but she is clearly trying to change, she is not completely a goner
Basically what I am thinking. She does have potential for redemption, although she will still likely end up being expelled from school and hated by her family and friends. But at the very least, her full cooperation with the authorities and remorse over her own actions could get her a lighter sentence as far as the law is concerned. Still, I am hoping she finds redemption in some way, so she doesn’t end up like Eri Ikenobu (the ex-girlfriend of Endo, who cheated on him with Kondo). It would suck if she had no one left in her life other than Kondo. Given his abusive nature, that would be a fate that not even she deserves. So I am really hoping that her testimony puts Kondo away for a long time, and she can start rebuilding her life, if only a little.

Corporal punishment in schools is illegal in Japan, fortunately. At the very least, she could be suspended, but I do think she will also be expelled, even though she didn’t directly take part in the bullying herself. After all, it was her going along with the slander of Aono’s good name (which is a crime in Japan under Article 230 of their penal code) that is going to count against her when the school renders its verdict; since it was her false allegations against Aono that sparked the bullying, they might come down hard on her just like they did with her friends, who were already expelled due to their bullying of Aono under the assumption that the allegations against him were true. But her cooperation with the authorities will hopefully mitigate her sentence in any legal proceedings against her. Time will tell.
