  1. King of Strangers says:

I’ve been following this mainly just to see some sort of closure, at least for Miyuki. The story was basically just NTR with a happy ending, but the point has been made already. Eiji was a victim and got his happy ending. Showing how perfect him and his life are is just redundant now. Miyuki screwed up badly, but every chapter with her is just the same pity party over and over.

I think what’s really missing here are real human emotions. Eiji is pretty one dimensional, written essentially to be a victim. There’s not much to expand on since he basically just got his reward for being a victim and now wants to move on with his life, but a little more agency on his part would be nice. Happily ever after is nice and all, but after the 40th one, we kind of get the point.

Kondo got what he deserved as the villain, but he was so cartoonishly evil for a high school kid that it felt like a revenge power fantasy pretty early on. Miyuki may have screwed up everything monumentally, but maybe it’s worth exploring why she went down that path to begin with now.

I think it can be explained easily enough by just acknowledging that she wanted to experience life witn someone other than Eiji. She grew up basically being expected to marry Eiji by default because of how close they were and how his family welcomed her, but he was the safe choice. Dependable, honest and kind, but not terribly exciting. Maybe she loved the idea of him more than Eiji himself. Kondo was confident, charismatic, attractive, and presented her with a choice, something she never felt like she had. If he hadn’t been so uniquely evil, they might have stayed together. He was though, and now she’s dealing with the consequences of the poor choices she made to keep her options open. They’re young, after all. Dating around would have been perfectly normal without all of the soap opera betrayal.

Now she can reflect on what she really wants in life, and maybe on the nature of love itself. Loving someone and being in love with them are two different things, and now she can really reflect on which one she feels for Eiji. Maybe she can realize that her love that once felt more like an expectation has become something more pure and well defined. Or maybe she’ll realize that, while she never should have hurt him the way she did, her love was more platonic and routed in obligation, leading her to want something more passionate and honest.

I’d like to see closure for everyone, and I think Miyuki deserves some kind of happy ending, even if she has to live with some regrets. I wouldn’t even be opposed to her and Eiji finding their way back to each other after a lot of growing and soul searching. Love isn’t always about perfect fairytale romances where nothing goes wrong. Sometimes love is about patience, understanding, compassion, and learning from the past instead of letting it define you.

    1. ahmed says:

yeah but i want eijji and miyuki to be friends again after she makes amends and justifyies her mistakes

      1. King of Strangers says:

That would be nice too. They don’t have to be in love to be happy. Just finding some measure of peace and moving on would be a very satisfying ending.

        1. ahmed says:

thank you ive been trying to find someone who agrees but when will the 293 come out

    2. SportySepia says:

I get wanting a happy ending but happiness isn’t all about love. They can both find happiness without each other. Eiji already did. Holding on to the idea of “finding their way back to each other” at this point seems like an insult to people like Ai who have always been faithful, the one who’s truly deserving. Part of love is also accepting when you have to let go, move on and find happiness somewhere else. That’s what I hope for people like Miyuki to do in such situation.

I am interested in a different timeline where Ai didn’t exist and Eiji’s life continued to suffer. I wonder what kind of Miyuki we are going to see.

      1. King of Strangers says:

Totally agree. Them being happy doesn’t have to mean they fall back in love, and learning to let go is just as important. Whatever love she does feel for him could be platonic, the way one loves a best friend or a brother. If that’s the case it would actually be a very realistic and satisfying ending. The part of me that is okay with them getting back together is just the part that enjoys a happy ending and seeing people overcome the odds.

I just want to see some kind of development on the subject from the author rather than just hearing Miyuki go on and on about how badly she screwed up. Even on the off chance that they did get back together, it would likely come after years of growth and soul searching. As they are now, it’s a terrible idea.

        1. SportySepia says:

Getting back together (as friends) would only be okay for me if the one strongly wishing for it is Eiji, like for his own sake and emotional well-being. Not if it was done purely for Miyuki’s sake. The effort of rebuilding that relationship has to 100% come from Miyuki and none from Eiji to really express the resolve. Anything less than that would just appear half-assed and ruin it.

Knowing Eiji’s kind personality, I totally expect him to accept her again midway, maybe out of pity or lingering feelings towards Miyuki which would defeat the purpose. There’s also the possibility of him doing it for the sake of his mom’s friendship with Miyuki’s mom. But generally I veer away from that kind of ending and just hope for them to simply move on, go on separate paths and find their own happiness.

If they happen to cross paths again, then so be it. It’s much better than forcing it. Maybe seeing each other after a long time would allow for a new relationship (as friends) to form spontaneously which, by the time comes, they would have other things in mind like raising their own kids and stuff to still be troubled by their past. That’s a more realistic end and an acceptable one for me.

    3. Person says:

Bro somehow you’re are right but her thoughts are unforgivable first of all she thoughts of eiji as an insurance, if she failed with kondo then simply return to him. Which shows that she see him as an pawn rather than a respectable person who was always being on her side giving first times to someone else and then obeying all his thoughts without even counting on it for her self preservation and kondo’s scholarship she surpassed 10 years shared history if someone says she was manipulated then she didn’t forced at all all of her actions, she did everything by herself. Canceling his birthday for someone else who she barely know and abusing him without any reason and what non sense is that after doing all this behind his back and then simply marrying him how it would be felt for her that’s was nothing more than enjoyment but for the person who truly cares you and wants to clean relationship with you just because that he respect you and after all she was the one who trying to approach eiji and even recognized that she was the one first who fell in love with him she is just captivated by kondo’s looks and status she wants to be queen

  2. Onslaught Observer says:

Don’t know if anybody else noticed, but we’re now currently two weeks without an update! Is there something going on with the author or the series?

    1. Ayman says:

Yes, I was also wondering the same and the last few chapters were really good. Unfortunately, there is very less infos about the author or any news about these publications so it got me worried too, and it’s 1 week which is rare as the author never skipped an entire week to publish a chapter.

  3. GLUEsniffers says:

    6.8/10

Honestly reading this felt less like experiencing an actual story and more like reading someone’s fantasy. The writing itself is pretty weak and the premise never really had much depth or scope to begin with but I kept going because people kept calling it “PEAK” but the more I read the more it just felt like overly idealistic wish fulfillment rather than a well written narrative.
When you break it down it’s just a very basic revenge story but most of the events don’t even make sense when you stop and think about them the revenge itself is absurdly unrealistic and the plot constantly twists itself just to make the protagonist look good while everyone else is written to look awful. Instead of real characters with believable motivations you just get extremes people who are cartoonishly evil on one side and unrealistically perfect on the other.
The ending is probably the most frustrating part. Everything conveniently wraps up into a neat “everyone is happy” resolution( in the novel) like some kind of Disney ending(thats not a bad thing if written properly buts this story is not) but there’s no real development that earns it Conflicts appear out of nowhere and then get resolved just as conveniently without any real consequences or growth
What really makes it irritating is how disconnected the story feels from reality. The way people behave, the way situations unfold, and the way problems get resolved just don’t resemble real life at all (specially how the teachers act and the mabye most characters). At some point it stops feeling like storytelling and starts feeling like pure delusion. Honestly if someone spent a little more time outside interacting with real people instead of reading stuff like this nonstop they’d probably realize just how ridiculous and poorly written this whole thing actually is
please stop calling this peak because its absolutely not

    1. ilikepie says:

Let’s face it, the only reason people call it peak is because the cheaters get shit for real unlike other stories where the protagonist is too forgiving then just move on so there’s no real resolution. Without that gimmick, there’s nothing in the story to begin with. The characters are purposely written the way they are so that the gimmick works and story can continue similar to the Rising of Shield Hero. The romance part is dull and the protagonist Eiji isn’t even an interesting character at all. Yet we still continue to read to know what happens to Miyuki, the life reversal on her side. And that’s the hook.

      1. Djd says:

Unironically she’d be a way more interesting protagonist because she isn’t as dull, even if not that great either tbh.

  4. mendel says:

I’ve noticed that Kondo, Miyuki, and Tachibana have quite a few things in common.

I think all three will have a similar ending, where they’ll remember how they dreamed of a different future than the one they’ll have and how they ruined their lives by hurting an innocent person.

  5. Loita says:

Tbh miyuki was never really redeemable after she didn’t say anything after eiji was getting bullied and after accusing him of being abusive. I do hope she gets some sort of character development and not just her self pity every pov chapter

  6. Nerdy enough to be get sad with illusionary says:

Enough with Miyuki I hope in future eiji and ai will understand and thorough many hardship ahh it’s maybe childish thought but I want to make Miyuki 2nd wife and forgive her I know u all get angry with my childish thought but . I can’t see Miyuki too love others after this suffering..I only want to eiji could heal her with this internal wound .. sorry for my childish thought but hope my concept work

    1. Coqueret says:

Folk😭😭😭 even i who wants to see Miyuki improving herself and become better does NOT want her to get back with Eiji or that close to him. The maximum would maybe if they became coworkers or friends(although not like before).

      1. Nerdy enough to be sad with illusion says:

Try to understand it’s better if they year’s years and end together it would be good 😭😭 sorry bro but i can’t just see to her happily with other’ guy ..it would better if he goes to back time and take revenge against kondo before they met

      2. Mahmudul Hasan Mahabur says:

She should leave the city. And start new life somewhere else. Learn from experience of her mistakes and try to improve herself. Don’t do the same mistake in the future and don’t lost on lust of desire. Her life in this city ruined. In my opinion no one will love her here. And doesn’t deserve Eji . She should leave the city Start new life with regrets.

      3. Mahmudul Hasan Mahabur says:

I wish Miyuki end up with Kondo. Kondo have to take responsibility. After Rehabilitation Kondo and Miyuki can end up together. Also what about Eri and Tachibana. Tachibana also has physical with Kondo maybe. Forget about Tachibana she is guilty and mastermind. Miyuki was not manipulated. She lost in her sexual desire. She also plotted long term plan to cheat Eji. She thought she would continue her sexual relationship with Kondo for a year in Ejis back. I want also improvement of Miyuki. But not as a Ejis wife maybe friend but not as before.

        1. mendel says:

Something I think is evident throughout the novel is that Miyuki wasn’t deceived, nor did she act out of adolescent naiveté. She consciously betrayed Eiji from the beginning, and she did it because she enjoyed the feeling of power that came with being unfaithful.
Tachibana and Kondo didn’t change her; they only made her act as she truly was at heart, when she believed she could use others and do whatever she wanted without consequences.

This is further reinforced when we see that, out of jealousy, she forgets all her “passion” and tries to manipulate Eiji. When she realizes Kondo won’t protect her, she fights with him, even though she never did before when he started his harassment campaign. Miyuki is driven by self-interest all the time.

    2. Onslaught Observer says:

You’ll have to take that up with Eiji’s mother FIRST!… Even becoming the second wife, they’ve had to get permission from his mother, and Last I checked, SHE wasn’t too high on any redeeming qualities for Miyuki when she told her “you are not worthy of my son!”

  7. Kosmo says:

Endo is THE GOAT. literally undebatable

    1. Fyzen says:

Kira kira kapan chapter terbaru rilis

  8. Feel bad for Miyuki says:

In recent chapters I feel that just enough give her rest from this mess then again I got remind that what she did…then i got remind a Quote that I read some time ago that (cheating is not a mistake it’s a choice)…

    1. Miyuki future Husband says:

I can’t, even though I know she’s wrong. I at least want her to get some character development. It feels like the author really hates Miyuki and doesn’t want her to improve. The reason I read this novel is to see Miyuki’s perspective. I don’t care about the MC and Ai romance.💔

      1. AmaranthYaeger says:

She doesn’t deserve to improve. She nearly pushed someone to suicide

There is NO COMING BACK from that

        1. Euiaks says:

16 year who did know nothing better for having a bad example of a father and constantly manipulated by Kondo and Tachibana. She deserves to suffer the consequences of her choices but she also totally deserves to improve as a person.

          1. Shin says:

Hello rquiem mtls, i wanna ask if i can still request novels?

      2. Nickadimus316 says:

@”Miyuki future husband” Love the name 🙂

I agree, I stopped reading the story for the MC and new girl. They’re both too perfect, and the MC’s suffering was a joke compared to what Miyuki is going through. This is coming from someone (me) who has been betrayed, had my own roof top moments, and still fights depression, so I don’t take Miyuki’s side lightly.

The “cheating is a choice, not a mistake” crowd must never have made a mistake in their lives. Choices, good or bad, can become mistakes as things develop.

        1. Jay says:

          Uhuh Sure

        2. Repent 4 Life says:

Miyuki cheating was never the reason she should just rot in a mental facility. Everything that came after she got caught was far worse than actually cheating. Obviosly it’s the authors choice to make Miyuki into the satan she is, but realistically she had so many times she could have started to reverse the damage, but she never did until Endo revealed it all.

This story intentionally makes readers despise Miyuki and it’s for a reason. Cheating happened, but Miyuki decided to protect herself instead of Eiji, which tells us that she is capable of more than just cheating. What Miyuki needs isn’t redemption, but professional help. Hopefully the author won’t drag this on further.

        3. Gu Santong says:

The reason I don’t like Miyuku isn’t because she cheated. I don’t like her because of what she did to Eiiji after the cheating. She cheats on you with someone you love, and then she calls you a harasser, a clingy creep. After that, even when the person she cheated with beats him, she still doesn’t help. Then she becomes part of a character assassination campaign just to protect her own reputation.
Yes, she paid and will continue to pay the price for what she went through, but minimizing what she did is ridiculous. Calling it a “mistake” is ridiculous. And belittling what Eiiji went through is also ridiculous, because being cheated on can be processed and healed from to some extent, but character assassination, bullying, and being threatened through your family are not things a person can just endure or handle easily.

          1. Hellborn says:

First of all miyuki is socially dumb as a child her emotional and social intelligence is as good as a 14 years old she is a child some one like her shouldnt even be in a relationship… because of this she got easily manipulated and seduced…you dont blame an under age kid when they get manipulated by an adult. True she needed to get disciplined and thought a lesson but being specifically punished for choices she didn’t fully undrestood and got manipulated into is ridiculous. Obviously it was her own mother or enji mother who should have had an serious talk with her and thought her about this stuff property but neither did, so she became and naive emotional and socially dumb teenager. I dont expect enji to get back together but the fact that she is getting this hrashly punished by everyone is ridiculous.

          2. Hellborn says:

          3. Sk wasim Akram says:

Absolutely if AI is not present there Eiji might be dead now

        4. Shin says:

I wanna rq another novel, but i am getting no reply on koffee

      3. Sk wasim Akram says:

No,read the previous chapters again and you realised what she did. She deserves it

    2. RL says:

Saying a mistake and a choice are two different things is laughably wrong. You can make choices and still have been mistaken especially as kids such as Eiji, Ai, Miyuki, and Endo.

    3. Sk wasim Akram says:

No, read the previous chapters again than you realised what she did

    4. Hunterx007 says:

Hello, bro I did not read the full novel so can you tell me that cheating bitch we will never come to the mc.

  9. Kenjurou Koyama says:

    There is chapter 274.

  10. TysonMaacs says:

If you are looking only for romance then don’t read it . Romance mainly entered the main story after 200 episode. But yeah if you want to read something in which the cheaters are punished and how they fall into despair then surely do . It’s very satisfying. Btw it’s addictive as hell I completed 267 chapters in 1 and half day ……

    1. AK says:

My man, finished 270 in less than a day T-T, how can something be so good and satisfying

    2. Guilherme says:

You think there’s a redemption arc being build dor her? i don’t even mean being forgiven and such but her becoming a better person, or it seems like the story will end in doom?

      1. There is no redemption

  11. Alfred says:

    the romance ain’t romancing 😭

    (not that I complaining, tho)

    1. Justsomeone31 says:

Feel you bro😂I feel the same after reading this.

  12. Idk says:

Does the author have some sort of social media account (im lowk curious about anything this ln has to offer)

  13. Joe says:

Trash -10 no romance or anything just complete garbage

    1. Kiritsugu says:

The fact that you say that there’s no romance despite the fact that Eiji and Ai’s relationship is front and center over the week or so this story takes place is proof you don’t read.

      Delete your computer.

    2. MULTIVERSE says:

You are like the president of literature club bro this story is good bro just die

    3. Jay says:

      Just like joe mama

  14. FtJerick says:

This is a great Light Novel series I have read so far. Specially the type of LN like this I wouldn’t read it due to some scene that would lead to the Main Protagonist death. But after reading it carefully I came to realized on how much the story is put and how much the Author Thoroughly thought of every chapter.

I am still a student but doesn’t know how to donate on a masterpiece like this. Hopefully when I came to the rightful age and this Light Novel is still going I would throughtly donate.

  15. Meeekoo says:

So basically, 15% romance, 30% politics and 65% revenge. The romance between the mc and fmc seems like forced, the author states the lovey-dovey part between them then after that it becomes politics, schemes and revenge. The tags in the novel is quite inaccurate. It’s not even considered daily life since there are more politics and revenge rather than the daily life of the mc and fmc. The mc mostly didnt even do anything at all during the revenge part. It’s literally all side characters doing the work. At first I was looking forward to the slice of life and romance between the mc and the fmc, but until now it’s still all about politics and revenge. When the romance part shows up, both main characters always talk the same thing, if i sum it all up it’s “I’m glad I met you that day” over and over again. In the end the novel is all about revenge, justice and politics. There is minimal romance.

    1. lock says:

Dude who cares at least he happy

    2. LA413 says:

We should be happy about these four characters who are in love with each other.

    3. d1 yuki suou gooner says:

5% revenge and 60% side quest literally

    4. FtJerick says:

Let’s just enjoy that the four of them are in love.

    5. Nikki says:

Not flaming you here, just thought it was funny that your percentages added up to 110% lol

  16. Roosevelt Sims says:

I’mma be for real I don’t feel bad for the ex-girlfriend she lied on him knowing that he is not like that to be honest she could have sent to do to jail because he she lied about him being abusive because she didn’t want to be exposed of being a hoe so no I do not feel bad for her karma

  18. Roosevelt Sims says:

I got a question so this story take place in one week right or a month

    1. Dicky Dancause says:

More than a week, less than a month. Technically, the first week was actually 4 days if I remember correctly.

      1. Graz says:

At first it takes place in about 2 weeks if I’m correct but than towards the end with the prime minister stuff stuff I think it takes place about a month or 2 after as well because they said those usually take about 70 days

  19. Shin says:

    1. Niaho says:

      Can u send the discord?

      1. Church says:

there is a discord? does the author use it?

        1. Kevin says:

It’s seem like there are some intruder and bot problems or something in the discord,so they stop letting anyone join the discord, before this there are discord link in ‘contact us’, and now it’s seem like i even got kicked out of discord because my level is low damn it

I’m curious about how Korean publishers promote their novels. The Korean market is relatively small, so many people outside Korea discover these novels on pirate websites. Now, publishers are sending DMCA takedown notices to shut those sites down.

    1. Ken98 says:

i heard some rumor that novelpia want to globe so they began taking down pirate site

  28. Luci says:

What happened to website all novel are removed?

    1. RiZ says:

They are looking for novels from other countries.

  29. CopyrightBenny says:

Honestly the story is kind of mid but its enough to keep me content. i just wish the author wrote it better and not go on a side quest right after 2 lines of development

  30. Hexxilly says:

ENDO-KUN THE GOAT!!!! HE IS THE CHAD WHO MADE THIS STORY BETTER!!!

    1. Dicky Dancause says:

For real! If there was an award ‘friend of the year’, Endo would have won it without competition.

  31. Kiraishin says:

wow this got top 1 in less then a week , i guess yall really prefer jp novel more huh

    1. Luci says:

Because they removed existing top one

  32. Ispycat808 says:

I read all the web novel chapters. I notice there is LN released as well along with translation from a different website. I hope to read the next web novel chapter. This story is for sure going to end in a few chapters. The story is decent but the author wanted to show the social problem of bullying in Japan. There are several actual cases and some that is unreported.

  33. Chingaruna says:

Huh. I just get to see this after reading the manga and such but….huh. This one is even more harsher than I assume. I also heard that there is an LN version of this series and it is an abridged version of the WN version but….

Wonder if there is some at least have a happy end about this. I dunno. Might gonna read the whole series to find out

    1. Suherman Joshua says:

I think they were threatened by novelpia to delete all korean novels.

    2. Graz says:

From what I’ve read up which is the last two chapters (haven’t read them yet the last 4 chapters have been about the MC’s friend who had the same thing happened to him and his other childhood friend who are now seeing each other not sure if it’s dating)

But at least for the MC and FMC it’s so far a happy ending though imwe haven’t seen them in like 6 chapters because it’s been from the assholes perspective and club president before MCS friends

  34. Sareza says:

One word : Poison. That review in NU is really accurate

  35. Osten says:

Japanese regret novel always feel like reading a children fairy tale, because everything is so convenient and predictable. It’s a fine read to pass time but expect a linear story.

    1. KY90 says:

A lot of hate here and there for the cheating and evil characters but most of them are pointed at ex childhood friend/ ex girlfriend. Many wish for torture end for her but with life there must always be a second chance. A misdirected? A selfish? A greedy? A liar? Many things can be said for such a person who betrayed and hurt the person who truly loved her, but it seems to others that she was forcedly made to become depended on POS who is literally scum of society and enemy to all women. I know I speak of defending ex girl friend character and yes sounding something like a hypocrite but this is the view of someone who likes to see the bigger picture. Author of story may make story more developed over time in the future and also possibly or not possibly make redemption chapter for cheating girl. I’ve read many stories that rage bait to hate mc ex lover who are rotten to the core, but also seen mc ex given redemption and forgiveness because they were misguided, misled, tricked, and etc by pos character who might be popular guy, handsome guy, best friend and etc. Some theorized A possible redemption and forgiveness ending for ex gf, some theorized her death. But some theorized A possible plot twist of current gf getting hurt/ sick /pass away like mother in story (i do not support such theory at all) and this makes room for forgiveness as ex gf comforts devastated mc like she once did with mc’s late father’s passing. They believe a road of forgiveness, peace, sadness, yet happiness for the two to be reunited. Many other theorized ex gf forgiven by mc and move on. Many theories here and there, but all hope for peaceful and happy ending for good characters and semi mislead and still redeemable character, but many wish for POS and bully characters to die and rot in jail(10000% agree for such wishes). Many say that the ex gf shouldn’t be given forgiveness and be given a harsh and torturing life for a lesson that she will learn forever. But many other say second chances can be earn. Hopeful for understanding and hopeful for peaceful ending (POS can die for all I care). Lots of commenting but just wishing for people who are rage baited in reading the novel to keep peace and calm with any partner of theirs. No rage, be calm, and tell them that you are done and will be not seeing them again. Do not let them win against you.

      1. Nickadimus316 says:

I agree, I haven’t finished the story yet, but my drive to conclude it is to learn the ex’s outcome. In my life time, I’ve been cheated on, betrayed, fought depression, had my own rooftop scenario, and bullied. Taking the side of the cheater/betrayer is not in my nature. But, being the reader and given the information we have, she was the biggest victim in the whole story.

The MCs pain and suffering was the equivalent of a bandaid being ripped off. It was painful but very short lived. He rebounded in a heart beat, and was supported and protected instantly. He had a couple days of heart break, then dealt with bullying for two days. The ex, was tricked, manipulated, used, abused and vilified. I am not saying she deserves the MC, that ship sailed, but I feel she needs support as well.

But who knows I’m only on chapter 239, looking ahead I see some chapter titles that appear to indicate her conclusion.

        1. Fxck you 2 in particular says:

Are you guys even listening to yourselves? Miyuki was manipulated? Used? Abused? There were many I mean many chances for her to break out . When she was first introduced to the pos, when she went out with pos, when she was kissed , every time she went to bed with, everytime she lied . I could go on . Imo Miyuki was never truly in love with aono she just liked how he made her happy it was just a game to her . Even when she was cheating she thought she could hide it. I will judge anyone who defends miyukis action idc how manipulated she was

  36. Shimura Faylane says:

It’s quite fine, balance between poison and honey. But, guaranteed single end.

  37. Someone know if this is poison?

    1. Naka says:

      248 is the last chapter?

      1. Graz says:

No it’s updated about 10 chapters since I’m pretty sure it updates weekly since I’ve seen seeing chapters update for the last month
